Freedam is an interactive walking tour about freedom in Amsterdam, created and operated by Thys Roes (Amsterdam, the Netherlands). It runs in your browser at https://thysroes.nl/freedam/ and as an installed Android app.
Nothing. Freedam does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There are no user accounts, no tracking, no analytics, no advertising identifiers, no cookies, and no third-party trackers.
Freedam may request access to your device location to show your position on the tour map. This data stays on your device and is never sent to any server. You can deny location access and still use the entire app.
Freedam caches tour content (text, images, audio, map data) on your device for offline use. This data stays on your device. You can delete it at any time:
Freedam loads OpenStreetMap tiles via Leaflet for the map display. Your device connects to OpenStreetMap tile servers to load map images. Their handling of your IP address is governed by the OpenStreetMap privacy policy.
Freedam loads Tailwind CSS from a CDN (cdn.tailwindcss.com) for styling. This loads a JavaScript file from that domain.
Freedam is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because Freedam collects no personal data from any user, this remains true regardless of age.
Freedam stores no personal data on any server, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete. On-device caches can be cleared by you at any time as described above. To request that any data be removed (none is held), contact us at the address below.
If this policy changes materially, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where applicable, post a notice in the app. Continued use of Freedam after a change indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
For privacy questions or requests, contact Thys Roes by email at thijs@thysroes.nl.
